Look up his interviews where he talks about why he went off the radar for YEARS. He talks about how he lost deals cuz all the producers wanted him to do all these weird, homoerotic satanic shit, and eventually he got tired and went on hiatus.
Unsurprisingly, he came back into the industry, vehemently and proudly Christian, and started incorporating gospel into his music.
