Senator Ted Cruz pens letter to DOJ demanding child porn probe into Netflix's 'Cuties' - as outrage mounts over French film that 'fetishizes and sexualizes young girls and could encourage pedophilia'

Senator Ted Cruz has penned a letter to the Department of Justice demanding a child porn probe into Netflix's 'Cuties', as outrage continues to mount over the French film accused of sexualizing young girls and encouraging pedophilia.

Republican politician Cruz, who Donald Trump this week named as one of his potential Supreme Court nominees, called on Attorney General Bill Barr to 'investigate whether Netflix, its executives, or the filmmakers violated any federal laws against the production and distribution of child pornography' in the making of the controversial film. 

The French film entitled 'Mignonnes' - known as 'Cuties' in English - depicts young girls in a dance group, all dressed in risque outfits and performing sexually suggestive choreography. 


Its release on streaming giant Netflix Wednesday sparked an immediate backlash with the hashtag #CancelNetflix trending and members of oCngress from across the political spectrum demanding action against both Netflix and the filmmakers.
